3’59?

No one had ever been able to run 1,609 meters, the British imperial mile, in under four minutes. Roger Bannister achieved it on May 6, 1954, with 3’59”.

Bannister’s legacy goes beyond mere sporting success. His 3’59” represented the overcoming of one of the greatest challenges in athletics. The 1,609 meters had been considered insurmountable until Bannister accomplished it on the Iffley Road track.

Roger Bannister achieved what was believed impossible: running a mile in under 4 minutes. With his 3’59”, he demonstrated that limits exist to be surpassed. Shortly afterward, other athletes followed his example.

PURPOSE
Inserción 359 WorkSans

The philosophy of 3’59 is inspired by this feat, which shows that today’s limits are tomorrow’s challenges. When someone breaks a barrier, they pave the way for others to do the same. We believe in the potential of people to challenge their own limits and in training as the way to make it possible.

The purpose is to contribute to improving the world of organizations through learning. We believe in people and their innate drive for self-improvement.
